    Forbes:

With closures and cancellations happening across the US in response to the spreading coronavirus, many Americans are likely to face financial burdens in the very near future as their incomes dwindle. In an effort to help ease that burden, President Donald Trump announced in a press conference that the interest on federal student-loan payments would be suspended “until further notice” while the US deals with the ongoing coronavirus crisis.

In addition to this news, the Senate has requested President Trump’s signature in support of the Borrowers Defense program due to the following claims:

    • The Department of Education demanded incorrect loan payment from 16,034 students.
    • Of those students, 3,289 student borrowers made one or more loan payments because of these demands, which they were not actually supposed to pay.
    • The Department has still not confirmed that 1,147 students’ loans are in the correct status, leaving those students in limbo.
    • The Department has harmed the credit of 847 non-defaulted students.
    • The Department subjected 1,808 students to involuntary debt collections (garnished their wages or taken their tax refunds or benefits).

Thank you very much for all your help to solve my student loan problems. I highly recommend this company to my classmates who need to consolidate their student loan. I am so happy to start making the payment in the amount that I can afford.

I was in over my head and in default. My taxes and wages were being garnished and it was killing me. United Aid Group took me out of collections and stopped the garnishment! The United Aid Group has made the process easy and they are extremely easy to work with. I couldn’t do any of this on my own and I wouldn’t know where to start. They have great customer service and every time I call with questions there’s always someone there to answer it.
